Offshore Wind News & You: December 2024

Our Brooklyn open houses in November allowed us to connect with the local community and share our vision for delivering clean, renewable energy right to Brooklyn’s doorstep. At the events, we shared the benefits of our project, from reducing emissions to creating local jobs, our proposed cable route in Brooklyn, and gathered valuable feedback from residents and stakeholders.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to join us, ask questions, and engage in meaningful conversations about the future of energy in Brooklyn. If you weren't able to attend, stay connected through Doorstep, our innovative community engagement platform, for the latest updates on Community Offshore Wind.

This Giving Tuesday, Community Offshore Wind donated 1,000 brand-new coats to children and families across New York and New Jersey.

Rising costs have made it harder for many families to access basic necessities. We see ourselves as a part of the communities we work in, and are committed to helping meet the needs of our neighbors. Together with our incredible partners in New York and New Jersey, we’re helping families stay warm and supported this season.

For National Apprenticeship Week, we teamed up with the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 9 to host over 400 students and adult job seekers from across downstate New York to learn about union career paths in offshore wind and the trades.
