Offshore Oil Drilling: Not The Answer and Not Good for Business
What have we learned from oil spills? We have learned that they are destructive to coastlines and fragile eco systems, harmful to businesses and industries that thrive on clean oceans and healthy coastlines, killer to ocean wildlife, and not so good for surfers, either.
Trump's decision to open up our offshore waters to oil drilling is short sighted, reckless, and not the answer to our future energy needs.
This is a galvanizing moment for California businesses to stand united for our oceans and their health. The ocean is the most powerful economic engine on Earth and without a healthy ocean, there is no healthy people, planet or profits.
Here’s how your business can support opposition to offshore drilling:
1) Join the new Business Alliance for Protecting the Pacific Coast by signing this statement to oppose offshore drilling off the California coast because of the unacceptable risk to our coastal economy and way of life.

2) Sign on to support a new California law that would prohibit state infrastructure that supports offshore oil and gas development. https://cacoastkeeper.org/stop-offshore-drilling/
