Hello and welcome to your regular roundup of all things offshore! This week, we're delighted to share with you our own original report on North America's geothermal transition where we analyse the key benefits presented by the green energy resource in relation to the oil and gas industry. In tune with keeping things green, Aker Solutions is now offering operators a Second Life Report alongside its regular services wherein the company can recycle all raw materials yielded during decommissioning. Elsewhere, BiSN has been awarded a key contract by a major oil and gas operator in the North Sea for the use of its Wel-lok alloy barrier technology, which provides a permanent well-barrier and gas-tight seal encompassed in a cost-effective and environmentally-driven solution. Decom Engineering has also been reaping in the contracts this year, with numerous international projects valued at more than seven figures being awarded throughout Africa, Norway, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia with work beginning immediately. Lastly, but by no means least, Saipem and MCS have collaborated on a new asset integrity management system, the 'PALM Suite', which is designed to support operators with data management, risk assessment and inspections across the entire offshore industry.
