It is official
My wonderful publisher, that believed so much in my work, has passed away on Friday, December 22, 2017. We were informed of this the day after Christmas, for which I am thankful they waited until then to tell us, allowing us to enjoy our holiday. Yesterday, her husband came onto the FB page of the authors of this publishing company and formally informed us that this company is officially closing their door. They are working hard to release all of our books, ISBN numbers and copyrights all over to each and every one of us. This will take time.
Knowing this is now official does make it easier to say goodbye and move on. I will always miss Boss. She didn't charge a fortune for our books. In fact, she had a low percentage rate and only charged for the books that were sold or for the books we ordered for our inventory. No money upfront was never asked for.
Now I have a decision to make. Do I try to publish on my own, which is something I know nothing about or do I try to find a new publisher that will not scam me and will be as honest and loving as my Boss? Decisions, decisions.
At least it is all now official.
