The new project for an IT company’s Kyiv office is a vibrant space that brings together the coziest and most famous corners of the world on a business center floor. Stepping inside feels like embarking on an exciting adventure. Employees work in different city districts, and as they move around, they find themselves on different continents.
The office project is a prime example of design focused on employee comfort and positive experiences. The client provided detailed information about the preferences, hobbies, and habits that unite their employees. The unusually wide corridors mimic a leisurely promenade, encouraging active work and stimulating teamwork and the desire to work from the office. Flowing, open spaces without excessive partitions support the concept of a relaxed journey, and walking promotes mental activity. There’s a zone to suit everyone’s taste. Here, a lunch break can take place in a charming café in the African savannah, an important meeting can happen in front of the Berlin Wall, and afterward, you can relax by a mini-version of the famous Supertree from Gardens by the Bay in Thailand.
The reception in this travel-themed office is pleasantly surprising, designed like an Italian gelateria. During hot weather, real ice cream will be available to enjoy. The waiting area near the reception is a cozy terrace of an Italian restaurant, complete with a composition of a blooming street arch.
Phytodesign plays a significant role in the office interior. Each continent and country is represented by its characteristic plant compositions. The Africa zone is lushly decorated with various large, broad-leaved plants typical of a tropical climate. Mexico features large cacti, and Japan, of course, includes bonsai trees. The plants are carefully selected to suit the local office climate.
Open spaces, meeting rooms, and the conference room continue the travel theme across continents. There’s a London Underground, a Ukrainian traditional house, and the Berlin Wall. Each meeting room is equipped with an electronic flipchart to easily capture the best ideas since ambitious IT professionals love collective brainstorming. Some rooms combine all geographical zones with historical and geographical maps.
The diverse workspace with numerous communal areas further unites the friendly team. This is an office free from bureaucratic formalities and clichés, encouraging creativity, fresh ideas, and business expansion.
