That’s the question at the heart of our annual Commercial Developers Resource issue, a takeover edition tied to our Power Breakfast event. Interest rates, construction costs and a tough lending environment combine to make it a difficult time to get new office space built. It’s in part a lingering impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which some say has permanently altered the way we work —?and the demand for office space.

? Columbus suburb developing new vision for historic downtown district: The city of Powell is cultivating a new vision for its historic downtown, and has recruited a well-known local name to help develop it. We’ve got the scoop on what’s in the works, and how COhatch Matthew Davis is involved.
? Central Park project to establish a 'true downtown' for the city of Heath: A long-held vision to develop a downtown area in the city of Heath is close to becoming reality. Central Park, a $218 million project led by Ciminello Land Co. and Wallick is slated to begin construction now that the developer and city leaders established a public-private partnership and secured enough financing to advance the effort.
? Weinland Park home sells for nearly $1 million: A renovated home in a rapidly transforming Columbus neighborhood has changed hands for a record price. Check out our story for more details and a look inside.

Dublin’s CLB Restaurants is down to one Central Ohio location for Matt the Miller’s, an upscale tavern chain. The brand shuttered its Gemini Parkway restaurant this week.
Matt the Miller's still has a trio of locations: one at 6725 Avery-Muirfield Dr. in Dublin, plus restaurants in West Chester and in Carmel, Indiana.
The Dublin location, the brand's first, opened in 2008.
