I am very pleased to announce the launch of the Be offensive branding website. Created by an international team of accomplished graduate students at Northeastern University’s College of Professional Studies, its purpose is to share with young professionals ideas about building one’s personal brand in today’s digital era.
It was developed to inspire readers to think about practical ways to get recognized in one’s field, connect with others, identify new business and/or employment opportunities, and, in the process, to have some fun.
The title “Be Offensive” was inspired by Bob Samson, one of the most inspiring, innovative, charismatic and successful senior executives in IBM’s history. He wrote a classic “sales manifesto” to guide his global sales team, creating campaign literature complete with buttons reading “We’re offensive,” and he inspired sales teams to go on…and be on…and stay on the offensive – and always be ten steps ahead of competitors.
In the second half of the fall 2015 semester at Northeastern University's College of Professional Studies, a new international team of graduate students will join me and expand on the work of the first team. Please join us on our blog (entries at the end of each section) and share with us your branding experiences.
Best wishes,
Sean Gresh
