Off-Site Construction - take it as read not Red
'to accept that something is true without needing any more information or proof'
Capacity is the key issue when it comes to OSM on a major scale in the UK. Of course relationships are equally important, without that no matter how rich one is, how big your company or how good your pipeline, naturally it's all down to trust & respect with your supply chain. Where accreditation is a 'given' & mortgage-ability achievable excuses are no more warranted to hit government targets.
We all know developing relationships takes a considerable amount of time in any business, in a factory environment the business owner is constantly looking at the credibility of the potential client, the quality of pipeline, financial status and planning reality. Sustainability and risk focus the factory owners mind and willingness to consider responding to initial enquiries. The UK's approach to doing business is a mix of thoroughly competent and what may be considered perhaps a tipple of ignorance in some instances towards overseas OSM factories. I believe OSM's are in a very strong position and hold the cards to the future of UK construction, working collaboratively with British construction experts to create a remedy.
