Off-duty pilot … replaces the Captain!

??An off-duty pilot who was a passenger on?Southwest Airlines flight #6013 from Las Vegas to Columbus (USA) on March 22nd, stepped in to help the flight crew after the Captain had a medical emergency mid-flight.

??This pilot, who actually works for another US airline, entered the cockpit and took control of the radio communications while the Southwest pilot was flying the aircraft.

??The Captain became incapacitated during the cruise and was attended to by a nurse who was among the passengers. The crew declared an emergency and decided to return to the Las Vegas airport. They performed a safe landing and passengers were able to resume their flight to Columbus after a short delay.
