OEM as the center of SMARTCITIES

In my long Career. I have built the following Centers. IT has been the key thing that become important to Federal, State, Business, Economics, and Medical Professions. But a key technology that has been used to unite all of these centers is GIS. My first Experience what it can do was the Military. From there this Technology has been the key to all of my Initiatives below. Why it turns OUR Planet into a global Database. OEM has been the other.

OEM is a command and control piece. You never know who they are until a disaster occurs then see this truck role up and you see the LETTERS O.E.M. on the truck. later you see FEMA coming to assist your city town or state. In the Military they use this concept a whole lot. In other professions it is not known until a disaster or Server weather occurs.

An Office of Emergency Management (OEM), alternatively called an Emergency Management Office (EMO), or an Emergency Management Agency (EMA) in some areas, is an agency at the local, tribal, state, national or international level that holds responsibility of comprehensively planning for and responding to and recovering from all manner of disasters, whether man-made or natural. An OEM may also be requested to provide consequence management for large special events such as major gatherings, visiting dignitaries, etc.

All of these systems has one common Technology GIS. But to build these centers one key IT skill is needed.

Systems Integration is defined in engineering as the process of bringing together the component sub-systems into one system (an aggregation of subsystems cooperating so that the system is able to deliver the overarching functionality) and ensuring that the subsystems function together as a system, and in information technology as the process of linking together different computing systems and software applications physically or functionally, to act as a coordinated whole.

The system integrator integrates discrete systems utilizing a variety of techniques such as computer networkingenterprise application integrationbusiness process management or manual programming.

System integration involves integrating existing, often disparate systems in such a way "that focuses on increasing value to the customer" (e.g., improved product quality and performance) while at the same time providing value to the company (e.g., reducing operational costs and improving response time). In the modern world connected by Internet, the role of system integration engineers is important: more and more systems are designed to connect, both within the system under construction and to systems that are already deployed.

This is the one skill I used over my long career. It is often over looked but in order to achieve these initiatives below The top two are skill sets you achieve in a military environment. The other you achieve when you are tasked to bring together different technology together to achieve a Command and Control Center.

The other Skill set is:

Radio-frequency (RF) engineering is a subset of electronic engineering involving the application of transmission linewaveguideantenna and electromagnetic field principles to the design and application of devices that produce or utilize signals within the radio band, the frequency range of about 20 kHz up to 300 GHz.[1][2][3]

It is incorporated into almost everything that transmits or receives a radio wave, which includes, but is not limited to, mobile phonesradiosWi-Fi, and two-way radios. RF engineering is a highly specialized field that typically includes the following areas of expertise:

  1. Design of antenna systems to provide radiative coverage of a specified geographical area by an electromagnetic field or to provide specified sensitivity to an electromagnetic field impinging on the antenna.
  2. Design of coupling and transmission line structures to transport RF energy without radiation.
  3. Application of circuit elements and transmission line structures in the design of oscillators, amplifiers, mixers, detectors, combiners, filters, impedance transforming networks and other devices.
  4. Verification and measurement of performance of radio frequency devices and systems.[4]

To produce quality results, the RF engineer needs an in-depth knowledge of mathematicsphysics and general electronics theory as well as specialized training in areas such as wave propagation, impedance transformations, filters and microstrip printed circuit board design.

This skill set I used for 30 years deploying Military systems. The internet runs on it everything runs on it.

Geographic Information System

Description

A geographic information system is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, manage, and present spatial or geographic data. GIS applications are tools that allow users to create interactive queries, analyze spatial information, edit data in maps, and present the results of all these operations.

This skill set I used in combination with Systems Integration, Radio Frequency Engineer, OEM, and (GII) Government Information Intelligence Systems. It allow me to achieved all of these Projects below.

THE DEFINITION: A Smart city is an urban area that uses different types of electronic Internet of Things sensors to collect data and then use insights gained from that data to manage assets, resources and services efficiently.

Emergency Operations Center

Description

An emergency operations center is a central command and control facility responsible for carrying out the principles of emergency preparedness and emergency management, or disaster management functions ...

Fusion center

Description

A cyber fusion is an intelligence gathering, analysis and dissemination state or major urban area center, which is owned by state, local, and territorial law enforcement and Department of Homeland

Real Time Crime Center

Description

The Real Time Crime Center is a centralized technology center for A City Police Department. Its purpose is to give field officers and detectives instant information to help identify patterns and stop emerging crime. The Newark RTCC (North) opened on January 1, 2015 and provides support 24/7
