OECD Study on the "flip side of corruption" to be published on December 11

The OECD will present on December 11 a new study on the "flip side of corruption", This study explores whether there is a "flip side" to enforcement actions that ended in sanctions for the supply-side of a foreign bribery transaction. It focuses on what happened on the receiving end of this transaction. That is to say, were the public officials in the demand-side country also sanctioned or otherwise disciplined?

Business@OECD has for years advocated to look also to the "demand side" of bribery as we can fight corruption only jointly and in a holistic way. As Chair of the Anti-Bribery Taskforce of Business@OECD (BIAC) I will speak at the OECD on December 11 and the OECD has published my following comments:

Those who receive are no less guiily than those who offer inducements - particularly in recipient governments, beneficiary agencies and funding institutions

A very interesting perspective immediately linked to "corporate compliance" - am convinced a lot of readers are interested in this OECD study on Tuesday, December 11.

I wish you all the best for the 11th at the OECD !? having professionals to share their experience with Public Bodies is key to have the best adapted regulation
