YOURgb,

What does it mean to me now?

I think it’s time for us to stand up and take a well-earned bow.

Because with no guts,

There can be no glory,

To be a legend,

We must have a story.

So, thank you for being brave,

And ultimately helping us save,

Our wonderful company YOURgb,

Because without you, it simply would not be.

Words cannot express my thanks to you all,

Together we caught what others would let fall.

We are being pushed to the edge with COVID-19,

A challenge that no one could have ever foreseen.

And we are doing it, we’re still here, we’re living and breathing,

Because we’re fighting, innovating, we’re moving forward with meaning.

And whilst we continue to learn, 

As we take the blows and the knocks,

Remember we’re growing, 

We’re thinking outside the box.

I appreciate your sacrifices, your commitment and your care,

I appreciate that all this at times,

Just hasn’t been fair.

Your bravery, your will, your positivity and opportunity making,

Your humour, your resilience, your kindness and risk taking.

All of it has stabilised our rocking and rolling ship.

You’ll never know,

Just how much,

You held us through this dip.

For all that you have done, 

To get us to this stage,

I promise that I’m seeing it, 

I’m jotting it down on the page.

I promise that it will be worth it,

We’ll get there wait and see,

Because our team’s ambition,

Means everything to me.

2021 is going to be our year to grow,

Personal development, progression – let’s go.

I am so proud of each and every one of us,

And me as myself?

I know I can make a fuss...

I know I can be hard to handle, 

So, thank you for your patience and your understanding,

I’ll try harder to be more placid,

And slightly less demanding… (lol)

Now there’s talks of vaccines and we are on our winter break,

I’m seeing clouds begin to clear,

A little less fear and less at stake.

I’m seeing new skills and resilience, 

I’m seeing belief and the strength to shout out:

We are still here! We made it!

Bring on your worst…

Because together we can take it!

Because we are YOURgb.

A collective of awesome individuals,

That mean so much to me.

I think now I have nothing left to ask,

Aside from please enjoy your Christmas break,

Lordy knows we all deserve it,

With nothing left to give or take.

It’s time to switch off and breathe,

It’s time to heal and rest.

It’s time to bring on 2021…

Because it’s going to be our best.
