Ode to the Sponsors of Budapest Startup Safari - Home Conference 2020

At the end of February, we were among the very first event organizers in Hungary to realize that we would need to give up our plans on making the fifth edition of Budapest Startup Safari happen. At least, the way it had been always organized before. We had 3 options: (1) to postpone, (2) to cancel or, (3) to bring it to to the digital space. We decided to be brave and make it 100% virtual.

We already had some of our sponsorship deals signed, full of promises we had no chance to make happen in the new setup, and many of them still under discussion phase. We were so much dependent not only on the trust of these companies, as everything we had as an experience meant nothing any more, but also their willingness to take a risk, as they are putting money into something that can go wrong any time on so many details noone can predict during these turbulent times. So these companies, and especially those people in their operations who personally decided to take this risk, deserve my honest appreciation. I am truly grateful that You have decided not to give up on us and thanks to you, the ever largest online conference in the history of Hungary to date is happening now! ??
