An Ode to Matthew

South Florida is on high alert as of midnight last night for the impending storm. Normally, during hurricane watches, warnings, etc., I would just wish I still lived close enough to go to SandBar to pop in for a few hours. BUT since I relocated to Broward County (home of the 45 day no-power zone post Hurricane Katrina & Wilma), I now have to prepare myself for impending doom.

The forecast is iffy until mid-day Thursday, so my plan is to wake up early tomorrow and try to get some Polaroids of the surfers who will inevitably be out to chase waves that only appear here in times of distress. After that, we will batten down the hatches and hope for the best.
