Today, I want to take you on a journey to explore a particular feeling, an emotion rooted deeply within all of us. It's a tranquil trip with profound connotations, akin to our previous exploration of the night, but this time, be aware of the ocean we're also part of.
The Moment
A few months ago, we visited family in Costa Rica and took a trip to the beach. The sunset illuminated the calm water, though a few strong waves made us turn our backs to avoid a direct hit. It was a heavenly place, with perfect lighting and an idyllic moment shared with Claudia, me, and other family members.
I'm always on the lookout for everyone's safety, especially respecting the sea's power. As the waves hit us, I would open my eyes and immediately track everyone to ensure their safety. However, I couldn't hold Claudia's hand after each wave; we relied on our eyes to reconnect.
I wondered, what if I could just open my eyes under the water to find her? Normally, you could stand up higher and open your eyes to locate your loved ones quickly. But my experiment was to pinpoint her location based on my memory before the wave hit and attempt to find her underwater afterward.
To my surprise, I couldn't do it. I could barely see my own hands. Finding her with my eyes both open or closed underwater was, in fact, difficult. The water's movement made it easy for us to drift apart.
Once you enter the sea, it's really easy to get lost due to our lack of practice. If we spent more time in the sea, it would be easier to track and develop the skill to find one another. But without cultivation, we only end up relying on the odds.
The Bay
We found each other once, so we can find each other again, right? However, relying on the odds is a reactive approach to life. Instead, we need to create the odds, make events happen, and use our power of will to shape reality, rather than being like leaves moved by the wind.
Unless we intentionally familiarize ourselves with each other's unique signatures, only the odds can make us find each other again. Mastering the sea requires intentionality.
The Sea
Gratitude. I've been thinking about this word a lot lately. The phrase, "Don't be sad because it ended; be happy because it happened," reminds us of the importance of mastering the sea. Not taking moments for granted and being thankful for lived experiences is crucial. However, taking action to master the sea, inspired by the gratitude of finding our loved ones in this material realm, is key to handling every wave with grace.
Particles
This moment of contemplation reminded me of how small we are, how easy it is to get lost, lose perspective, and even lose everything and everyone. Life in the material realm is tough, bounded by time and space, with distance and separation being constant challenges. Our existence here, our personas, and our egos are just grains of sand in the vast ocean, subject to any wave that comes our way.
These are our precious and beloved particles, including our very own particle—the persona we build during the human experience, the ego we create, and the karma we accumulate. In the end, each is but a small particle in the infinite.
Above
Understanding that sticking to higher realms is the most important decision of our lives is crucial. The material world is not our calling; we woke up here, but our destiny lies beyond. Ascending is our only option to master both the sea and the matter, to ensure we lose nothing.
Cultivating our inner divine beings and pursuing divinity is far from optional if we want to transcend all these rules, which, if you haven't seen by now, are ruthless.
You may open your eyes now.
