Catesby Tunnel: A Business Lesson in Innovation.

Allow me to share an intriguing story that holds a valuable business lesson. The historic Catesby Tunnel, initially built in 1895 by the Great Central Railway, has been repurposed into a cutting-edge vehicle testing facility. This tunnel, constructed from approximately 30 million bricks, boasts a straight 2.7km stretch, 8.2m in width, with a remarkable tarmac finish accurate to +/- 2mm over its length.

Today, it has become the "go-to" venue for aerodynamic testing for local automotive and motorsport businesses, including F1 teams and cycling organisations.

The key message here is the power of setting targets and measuring every parameter that impacts performance. What gets measured gets managed – a philosophy that applies to business growth as well.
