My first newsletter!! ??
Mostly a log of all the cool things nerdnourishment gets into during the month. Writing down your accomplishments is a good habit to get into, especially if you are working towards a goal or headed out on a long journey.
I just recently lost my job and felt like I was thrown into a swimming pool and it was up to me to survive. I had lots of wonderful interactions with my amazing LinkedIn data community, all wanting to help, THANK YOU! The scariest part about this month was that I realized I didn’t want help finding a job, per se, I wanted help and advice on creating my own thing.??
I am still looking for the right opportunity if it comes along and am most recently fascinated about Developer Relations / Data Advocacy.? It seems like a perfect fit with my passion for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with others in the data community.? We will see how that goes!
As for my own thing, I have been working on my personal brand since just before the pandemic.? A little back story since this is my first newsletter: I started posting and sharing my data learnings with others on LinkedIn, created and finished a #100daysoflearning challenge, and was asked to be part of podcasts, conferences, and other various events which were all so very awesome!!!
I then came up with my a.k.a. #nerdnourishment, created a logo (with help from my husband), purchased a domain, and created a blog. This is where I am today, with aspirations to do more fun things (like offering merch)!
I have been creating content on and off for the past three years but with my new ‘situation’ I was actually excited to be able to dedicate time to really get things up and running AND excited that nerdnourishment is now officially a thing! ??
October was dedicated to a lot of attending various data events and writing reviews. Here is a list and links to the reviews:

I posted a couple fun videos to the nerdnourishment YouTube channel, making learning data fun!!
Throughout the month, I also posted to the nerdnourishment Instagram.? Mostly duplicates of what we have above with some sprinkles of random.
Although October was scary, it was very productive and I had a ton of fun!!
Thank you for reading, thank you for supporting
and as always…
Happy Learning!!
This is great Monica!
