October Salon Updates

October Salon Updates

We're still upgrading The Salon!

Our latest improvements include a revamp of the?Community Corner?and giving the?Latest News?section its own dedicated space.

Community Corner?is now the go-to place for collaborating with fellow Salon members. One exciting addition is the new?Call for Collaborators?section. As the African proverb says,?"If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together."?This space is perfect for those looking to team up on projects—whether you're entering a competition, building something new, or seeking creative partnerships.

Unlike?Ask for Help, which is for quick advice,?Call for Collaborators?is designed to help you find others to join you in creating something bigger. Be specific about your project and the roles you need to fill so you can connect with the right collaborators.

Ready to go further, together? Post your project today!

While you're in?Community Corner, don't forget to give a shoutout in the?Salon Shout Outs?section—celebrate the great work of your fellow members!

The?Latest News?section is now live, with spaces for posting important news, sharing non-Salon events, promoting your own projects and accomplishments, and sharing challenges and competitions. It’s a one-stop shop to stay informed and keep up with the latest happenings, both inside and outside the Salon.

Next up: We're giving the icons a makeover, and soon, we’ll be adding a new?Welcome Video?to make onboarding even smoother.

Your input helps drive these improvements, so let us know what you think—and stay tuned for more updates!

We’re thrilled to announce the next session of The Salon Presents… featuring Michael Boyens, AI consultant, educator, and Managing Director of Australian AI consultancy Streamline Edge!? ??? When: Tuesday, October 1 at 7pm ET / 4pm PT ?? Where: Online (Register in the Salon under ‘Events’ or register on Meetup) Michael will present “AI as a Mirror”, exploring how our mindsets influence the way we collaborate with AI assistants. With over 30,000 prompts to his name, Michael has discovered that AI tends to mirror the way we frame our questions. If we approach it with a narrow focus, we might limit the outcomes. But by expanding our mindset, we can unlock more creative and surprising results. You can find more info about Streamline Edge here!? This is one conversation you won’t want to miss!? So, mark your calendars, invite a friend, and let’s explore the power of mindsets in AI together!
