Welcome to the October edition of Vikela’s monthly technology & business development newsletter.

The past month has been an exciting one with our products being seen internationally in the US and Japan. We have also been celebrating achieving some great business and team milestones as well as continuing to engage with security industry customers.

SEECAT Exhibition Japan

We were delighted to continue to expand our product reach internationally this month. With our products being featured at the SEECAT exhibition in Japan being a major milestone in our journey. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with a global audience and share our passion for innovation. ???? ?

Business Eye Awards 2024

Our team had an amazing time at the AIB (NI) Business Eye Magazine Awards, which was a fantastic event celebrating the best of Northern Ireland’s business community. We are over the moon that our founder Peter Gilleece won the Business Eye Young Business Personality of the Year 2024. Thank you to Business Eye Magazine for the amazing awards night, the award sponsors Ulster University Business School and Gillian Armstrong MBE who presented the award.

International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference.

We had a fantastic time in Boston attending the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference. We met some great people and had some fantastic engagement with law enforcement and public safety professionals. We attended a brilliant networking event hosted by The Edward Davis Company and Flock Safety. ???????♂?

Office Renovations Finished

We are thrilled to announce that our office renovations are officially complete! We are over the moon with our new office and must give a huge thank you to all our suppliers who helped make this possible. Just wanted to give a big shoutout to Ibrand for all our new signage it looks amazing.

NI Funding Future Manufacturing Growth Roundtable

?We were excited to be invited to the NI Funding Future Manufacturing Growth Roundtable, with the British Business Bank in Belfast. This was a great event to be a part of to hear about funding options for manufactures in NI and how to access them. It was great to be able to give our feedback and experience on sourcing funding and support within Northern Ireland.

ADS

We had a great time attending ADS event to meet Joe Stokoe - ADS Head of Policing and Law Enforcement Engagement. We were given the opportunity to present our product and share our experience of attending Security and Policing earlier this year and winning the ADS Innovation Award. It was great to hear from Joe and his knowledge of the Policing Sector following his experienced career in the Metropolitan police and his time as Home Office Science directorate working on science and technology that can assist Frontline Policing.
