Education
We continue to applaud our content creators who continue to create content for our students. We have some energetic authors who really have expedited the content creation process. We still encourage our teams to maintain constant communication with each other and their team leaders. It is also important to note that we use the workspace , in particular the Google Chat for communication in teams so that every team member is in the loop. We will ensure that we touch base with every author on a weekly basis, so please ensure that you check your emails and the workspace regularly. If possible prompt communication when unavailable will be appreciated. We do have a lot of content for the first semester, though in many disciplines, quizzes and assignments are still needed.?
Operations.
The last semester of the year started off with ensuring that there is stable internet connectivity in Victoria Falls. After a rigorous search for a better service provider we have now found a new service provider with faster internet services and operations has really improved.?

Students are now able to complete their assignments more effectively and encounter fewer frustrations with slow internet services, which had been impeding their learning.?
Our partners Janga.la have provided us with their big boxes, which allows us to provide faster internet for more people, especially in areas with slow reception. On the 25th of September 2023 the much anticipated consignment arrived in Victoria Falls. This equipment will soon be deployed to our country centers so that it may be tested using local SIM cards and our country coaches may complete their coaching course and study the learning content ahead of the students awaiting opening in the following semester.?We thank Jangala for their help and celebrate this partnerships.
Device Donation.?
On the 28th of September 2023 the first consignment of devices donated by a secondary school in Switzerland arrived. These devices are earmarked to ease the pressure from the students who have been using old and slow devices. This is set to improve the performance and efficiency of our operations as a college. We would like to appreciate the school that donated these devices and we promise to put them into good use.
Visit to FIBL
At our visit to FIBL we were impressed by their efforts to find simple, practical solutions for pressing issues we are facing in Africa. In Zimbabwe for instance organic waste usually ends up on land fills instead of being used for composting. Learning from their best practices established in different regions of the world for composting and agroforestry will empower our youths to develop their communities sustainably. We thank the members of FIBL who have taken their time to give us such great insight.
We will try to encorporate the knowledge they shared in our semester assignments empowering our students through research and application to become experts in the fields and thus teach their communities to help turn organic waste, which has thus far been thrown on land fills, into valuable soil and fertilizers and to bring sustainable and more productivity into their rural families' livelihoods.
Many thanks to our supporters
We thank all our supporters and look forward to more meetings in Switzerland. Please reach out to us if you're interested to learn more. We're also looking for partners.
We also have a unique raffle on our art shop going on until 30 November: Anyone making a donation will enter a raffle with attractive prices from our partnership with the women's cooperative in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. See the prices here.
