October 5th

LS Cable & System's XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) recycling technology accumulated over a decade makes scrapped XLPE recyclable and reusable,?and?this will be an?important step toward the?construction of a resource circulation system.

October 13th

LS Cable & System?would make a 25.2 billion won ($17.58 million) equity investment in KT Submarine to foster its undersea cables business. The company will acquire 4.04 million stocks, 16 percent of KT Submarine’s share, becoming the second-largest shareholder of KT Submarine.

October 14th

LS Group invited ambassadors in Korea representing five Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states to LS Yongsan Tower on Oct. 11th. LS leaders introduced the company’s business, technology, and experience in GCC countries.

October 17th

LS Cable & System?has successfully developed and tested its 525kV Cross-linked Polyethylene (XLPE) High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) System (Land & Submarine) in accordance with TenneT TSO B.V. specification which is also in line with international standards including CIGRE-TB496.

Thanks to this innovative cable technology, LS Cable & System can satisfy the requirement of power transmission capacity over 2GW from large-scale offshore wind farm to cities about 1~2 million families.

October 20th

LS Cable & System?will be participating in the BIXPO 2022 held in Gwangju, Korea from Nov. 2nd to 4th.

October 24th

LS Cable & System?has concluded an agreement to supply HVDC cables worth approximately KRW 240 B to an offshore windfarm in the North Sea of the UK. This would make it the largest order amount in history for a single contract in the European market.

October 28th

LS Cable & System?is currently expanding its submarine cable production capacity through the construction of VCV (Vertical Continuous Vulcanizing) : a 172-meter power cable production tower that’s the tallest in South Korea.

October 31st
