New York Climate Week

We're excited to have celebrated New York Climate Week!

New Climate Futures Exhibition at Newlab?

During NY Climate Week Gradient exhibited at the Newlab New Climate Futures 2024 event.

Newlab’s flagship annual event is the highlight of NY Climate Week, drawing more than 1,000 of the most innovative entrepreneurs, industry leaders, investors, and policymakers. Hosted at Brooklyn’s center of gravity for innovation, this celebration offered attendees a unique opportunity to see cutting-edge technology demos, connect with leading change makers, and close out NY Climate Week with a bang.

Gradient team members Jeff Rosen, Bryant Elder and Jon Lusk showcased a demo of Gradient’s newest All-Weather 120V window heat pump. At the event, Bryant and Jon reconnected with the CEO of Finance New Orleans, continuing to celebrate our Resilient New Orleans Innovation Challenge win.?

ENERGY STAR??

Gradient is proud to partner with ENERGY STAR, an initiative that highlights our commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. This partnership reinforces our mission to provide eco-friendly heating and cooling solutions, making sustainable comfort more affordable for all.?

ENERGY STAR Certification

ENERGY STAR certification not only validates the energy efficiency and performance of our window heat pumps – it also opens the door to a wide range of incentive and rebate opportunities. This certification is often used by utilities and program managers to create Qualified Products Lists (QPL), which guide the products eligible for rebates and incentives in energy efficiency programs.

By earning ENERGY STAR certification, Gradient’s products become more accessible to consumers through utility rebates and other financial incentives, making our highly efficient window heat pumps more affordable, especially for low-income and disadvantaged communities. This aligns with our commitment to energy equity by helping to reduce upfront costs for customers while supporting larger goals of sustainability and decarbonization.

2024 ENERGY STAR Products Partner Meeting

At the 2024 ENERGY STAR Products Partner Meeting, our Director of Business Development, Bryant, highlighted the successful launch of the NYCHA Clean Heat 4 All Challenge. The event brought together leading utilities, state and local sustainability offices, and manufacturers from across the country to discuss innovations in energy efficiency. We're proud to have been part of these important conversations, contributing to sustainable solutions that will shape the future of energy use and accessibility.

Gradient Updates?

Beta testing

In September, we continued to integrate user feedback to enhance the overall experience. New features and bug fixes are released remotely to units in the field via WiFi, ensuring a seamless update process through OTA (Over-the-Air) updates.?

Recent additions, such as Silent Fan Speed, Boost, Dry Mode, and Scheduling via the Mobile App, have been well received by our Beta users.?

Our units performed exceptionally well during the high heat of August, particularly in Florida and New York. Overall, the testing is showing high ratings in satisfaction, performance, and indoor sound quality.?

As we look ahead to colder temperatures, we’re excited to have begun high-altitude testing in Colorado to gather early heating performance feedback for the winter. An additional Beta program is kicking off in late fall, focused on cold climate testing. If you’re interested in participating, sign up here!?
