Industry Update
On September 3, 2024, A4A released Bulletin 2024.2, indicating that, Velcon, the remaining manufacturer of EI-1583 7th Edition qualified filter monitor elements, will soon cease production.
With these SAP filter monitors likely becoming obsolete by Q3 2025 or sooner due to material availability and customer demand, we are preparing to support the transition away from these discontinued monitors.
Our Solution
For towable hydrant carts, we can replace the monitor vessel with the Faudi FW24, which will be available as a bolt-in kit. This kit includes two pre-fabricated pipes, four mounting adapters, the Sluggard water detection sensor, and electrical integration components. Installation is expected to take eight hours or less, and the vessel is rated for 350 GPM.
We can provide either the kit with or without installation services, and in some cases can provide loaner carts to ensure your operation doesn't miss a beat. We can also offer solutions to support the conversion of your refueler trucks, hydrant trucks, and tank farm operations.
