October is best known for its Halloween festivities, but it’s also a month loaded with other great things. It's officially autumn, which means cosy apparel, your favourite cold weather recipes, and beautiful foliage.
Fun Fact: October got its name from the Latin/Greek word octo, meaning eight, because it used to be the eighth month of the year under the Roman Calendar. When the Romans converted to a 12-month calendar, the name October stuck despite the fact that it’s not the 10th month!

Health Tips - 80/20 Rule?
In today’s day and age it’s so easy to get distracted eating lots of sugary foods and then worry about how much we’ve been eating and suddenly go on an extreme diet. The 80/20 eating rule is a great way to create a healthy eating relationship if you feel like you want to be healthy and still have the access to treats like cake and wine now and again. Eating mainly nutritious foods makes you feel good but fun foods are important too.?
The 80/20 eating rule means that your meals are mostly home-cooked and well proportioned, but you allow space for some occasional indulging. You do this whilst hitting all of your five portions of fruit and veg a day, and getting plenty of fiber and protein in.? Here is an example of a day using the 80/20 rule.
