Deadline to Update New EU Standard Contract Clauses Approaching

European companies relying on Standard Contract Clauses (SCCs) to transfer data out of the European Union will need to transition to the new SCCs by 27th December 2022.

Whilst transfers from the EU to the UK are covered by the Adequacy Decision, many organisations rely on SCCs, so you may start receiving (if you haven't already) updated contracts with the new model clauses.

Note: for UK data transfers, contracts signed after 21st September 2022 will need the International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the Addendum.
