Happy Halloween! Welcome to your BPF Futures newsletter, a chance to hear what the network has been up to and what we have coming up. Firstly, thank you so much to everyone who completed our member survey. It was wonderful to hear your feedback, and I'm delighted that 83% of you rated the network very good or good and 99% of you would recommend us to someone else! The feedback is invaluable and will help us shape the network over the next year, so thank you again.?
Over the last month, we had a fantastic webinar with Jessica Hardman , a walking tour through misty Birmingham, a site tour in Glasgow and the?SPF Annual Dinner.?Our BPF Futures open call applications also were open and I'm delighted so many of you applied. Outcomes will be communicated at the end of the month - good luck!? I was pleased to speak on the 'Accelerating Careers in Real Estate' podcast on their DE&I special. The episode has lots of practical tips, so do?listen when you get a chance.? Coming up, we have our debate with TfL Places for London , the Hackathon and a panel and networking event ?in Manchester on the future of offices. I look forward to seeing many of you at these events.?

Site tour of Glasgow's brand new build-to-rent?neighbourhood?
This month, members in Scotland were treated to a?site tour of Moda 's brand new build-to-rent (BtR) neighbourhood, Holland Park. Moda's Planning and Engagement Director?James Blakey, and General Manager?Susan McGowan?shared fascinating insights into Moda’s vision for modern living and the challenges of bringing the development together. It was a unique opportunity to have a sneak peak of the BtR lifestyle with a tour of the apartments and amenity spaces including the private dining room, residents' lounge and cinema room!
Incredible support at the SPF Annual Dinner?
We had a fantastic time at the SPF Annual Dinner this month and a great turnout too with over 27 members across three BPF Futures tables! The evening kicked off with a?pre-drink gathering followed by the official reception and dinner. On the night, we had an insightful address from the Secretary of State for Scotland, The?Rt Hon Ian Murray MSP, and a candid and thought-provoking speech from our after-dinner speaker, The Rt Hon Michael Gove. Site tour with Homes England of Digbeth?
We were delighted to join Homes England for a walking tour of misty Birmingham to see the vibrant streets of Digbeth.?Jon Sayer , Natalie Mortlock and Phiroze Mackenzie discussed the history, unique character and regeneration of the area. It was fascinating to hear about the unique features, how they resulted in planning constraints?and how Homes England navigated these challenges.? BPF Futures Open Call for BPF Committees? Thank you to everyone who applied for a position to join a BPF committee. The applications are of an incredibly high quality and our policy team are deliberating now. Outcomes will be communicated at the end of November.?
