NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF SALES: Meet Darren Smith
We are excited to announce the appointment of Darren Smith as Vice President of Sales at Aros Marine Southampton office. Darren brings over 25 years of expertise in the marine sector, having held leadership roles in some of the industry's top companies.
With a strong background in sales, business development, and marine refit projects, his experience and strategic vision are invaluable as we continue to expand our reach across the cruise and maritime sectors.
HANDS-ON COLLABORATION: Partnership with academia
What a fantastic second year of collaboration with the KTU School of Economics and Business Hands-On project!
The Hands-On initiative connects students directly with real industry challenges, guided by experienced business mentors. Participating students explore creative strategies, work in multidisciplinary teams, enhance leadership skills, and build their professional portfolios.
We’re excited to work with KTU students in contributing to building a circular value chain for cruise ship interior solutions. A big thank you to KTU School of Economics and Business for this interdisciplinary partnership, your insights, and the invaluable hands-on experience.

CONTINUOUS LEARNING: Key driver of growth
Recently, our colleagues have been actively expanding their expertise by participating in various conferences, because we believe that continuous learning is a key driver of growth for individuals and for the entire Aros Marine team.
?? Our Recruitment colleagues attended the "AI-Powered HR Excellence with Josef José Kadlec" hands-on seminar, which focused on how AI is transforming HR practices.
?? Our Marketing team joined the "Guide & Grow: Mentorship Summit 24." This summit showcased real-life examples of how mentorship programs are integrated into corporate culture and the added value they bring to both employees and the company.
?? Additionally, our Accounting team attended the annual "Corporate Finance 2024" conference to explore the latest trends in financial management.
We're excited to see how the insights gained from these events will inspire new ideas within our teams!
