The event was hosted at the Kimpton Clocktower Hotel , a venue that has been a key part of the Manchester landscape for over a century. Situated on Oxford Street, the hotel is surrounded by the culture, innovation and history of the city. At NorthEdge, we share many of the same ambitions as this venue and its location – surrounding ourselves with innovation and creativity to drive positive change, investing in sectors which continue to be key to our regions and remaining versatile and resilient in our approach to shaping the future of global industries from the UK regions.
Huge thanks to our investors and to the portfolio companies that supported us on the day?
Key Dates
We have also recognised key dates, including:
Black History Month
We have been proud to participate in the 10,000 Black Interns programme since its inception in 2020. The programme has been designed to offer paid internships to Black students across the UK and this year we welcomed Charles Kaunda for an internship at NorthEdge.
Charles has written about his experience during the six weeks, sharing what he has learned during the initiative; his aspirations for working in private equity in the future and motivations to advocate for more inclusive practices within the industry.
World Mental Health Day
10th October
On World Mental Health Day, we highlighted our collective responsibilities as employers, employees and individuals to create inclusive and diverse workplaces. This year's theme highlighted the importance of addressing mental health and wellbeing in the workplace and the benefits this brings to people, organisations and communities.
In our 2023 ESG Report, we share how we have continued to improve the impact we have on our business, portfolio and community and how our DE&I strategy is focused on leading positive change.
