October is Equinix Impact Month

I wrote a few weeks ago that in October it's Equinix Impact month here at Equinix. Taking advantage of its motto to Be Well. Do Good. Stay Connected. being part of an effort this week to pack 10,000 meals in support of Rise against Hunger just allowed for that.

The organization has set its eyes on ending hunger by 2030: "Hunger doesn’t have to exist — let’s end it together. Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030."

With the calendar turning to November and Thanksgiving and other Harvest fests to be celebrated this month, it was another small step to live the Equinix Impact motto, while with countries and municipalities implementing laws and regulations to ban wasting food, e.g. France and Austin, Texas, the steps in the right direction are underway.
