October Engineering Update: Paving the Way for What’s Next
Our engineering team has been heads-down shipping improvements across our entire platform, laying the groundwork for big news coming on November 14th. Here’s a peek at what we’ve been working on.
Streamlining the Talent Discovery Experience
We’ve completely overhauled our talent discovery and interview scheduling systems. The new Discover Talent interface features improved performance and reliability, with particular attention paid to geographic region support for more accurate compensation and talent rate calculations. We’ve also enhanced our interview workflow automation, implementing smart defaults for scheduling and automated status updates that keep everyone in sync.
For our technical folks: we’ve migrated away from our legacy talent search implementation (farewell, talentSearch directory!) and resolved some thorny gateway errors affecting talent discovery. The platform now handles interview settings more gracefully, with automated calendar integration and robust status management across the board.
Enhanced Mission Builder & Budget Controls
Our Mission Builder got some love too. We’ve implemented dynamic budget updates that respond to pricing region selections and streamlined the information flow to our placement team. Behind the scenes, we exposed price tiers and refined our geographic region implementation to better support compensation and talent rates globally.
Platform Infrastructure Improvements
On the infrastructure side, we’ve made significant strides:

Community & Communication Updates
Our community engagement channels have been streamlined, transitioning from Discord to Slack for our developer community. We’ve also refined our notification system for interview completions and implemented smarter status handling throughout the platform.
Looking Forward
These updates represent more than just technical improvements—they’re laying the groundwork for something bigger. Stay tuned for our November 14th announcement, when we’ll unveil some major changes that these engineering improvements have been quietly laying the groundwork for.
