Electrifying the Skills Conversation - ERS Hub’s Second Annual Conference
Hundreds of delegates, 17 industry experts, keynote speeches, panel discussions and interactive workshops…there was a lot to take from the ERS Hub’s Annual Conference 2024…?
The ERS Hub annual conference championed inclusivity, taking centre stage at Birmingham's Advanced Engineering Show and drawing thousands of new faces to the electrification sector.?
The event aimed to build a diverse talent pipeline, from students and career-switchers to retraining engineers, with a focus on critical skills and innovative learning. Engaging talks from industry leaders like Philippa Oldham and LaRaine Foden emphasised partnerships and the need to attract and retain talent through pathways aligned with real-world demands.?
A standout moment was the announcement of Contech’s 22-week High Voltage Training Programme, set to fast-track 600 engineers in its first year alone—an inspiring step toward filling high-demand roles. Attendees left motivated by the passionate insights of speakers like British racing driver Charlie Martin, who underscored the power of community and inclusivity.
A big thank you to the ERS Hub Team and Community Support: "I’m genuinely humbled to see a concept we once envisioned not only deliver significant impact but also bring together people and organisations in a unified effort to grow this community." - Deepak Farmah
