Diversity & Inclusion: our Manifesto
Inclusion not Acceptance. This is one of the pillars of our D&I Manifesto. Our People with their uniqueness and backgrounds are made to feel welcome, empowered and cherished every day to create a one-of-a-kind blend of skills and experiences.
“Gap Freeâ€: this is the ambition we have for our Company. We have begun this journey towards a gap-free organization and we have now committed to the achievement of concrete, measurable goals, including:
- Having at least 40% of women in executive positions by 2030;
- Achieving the zero pay-gap milestone in our Group by 2030;
- 1st level EDGE Certification by 2023 in Italy, other countries will follow.
Read our Sustainability Report to learn more about how we’re achieving these goals.
The Lavazza Calendar 2023: “Yes, we’re OPEN!â€
“Yes, we’re OPEN!†is here. The 2023 Lavazza Calendar, the 30th edition of the iconic publication, was presented at the Triennale Milano on 13 October. At the heart of it, coffee shops as the perfect place to meet and discover people from all walks of life. Behind the lens is Alex Prager, American photographer who blends cinema, pop culture and street photography in her shots. After 10 years of environmental sustainability themed calendars, our global Brand is re-launching to shift the focus to a new area, that of openness and inclusion which make us all feel part of a community. Because that’s how Lavazza is, open since 1895.

Coffee and Sustainability at the Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2022
Good, clean and fair coffee. That is what, together with Slow Food, we want to promote through the Coffee Coalition, which connects coffee producers and consumers to share best agricultural practices and promote responsible consumption. The 14th Edition of Terra Madre Salone del Gusto was the occasion to present the PGS certification (Peer Guarantee System), result of the Coalition’s work and adopted by La Reserve de Tierra Cuba, the Lavazza blend dedicated to the channel Away From Home. The occasion also served to shine a light on other sustainability projects that we are implementing around the world through the Lavazza Foundation.

Raw material and energy prices on the rise: CEO Antonio Baravalle’s take
“What we are going through is the most complex period for our sector in recent history. The macroeconomic global scenario has brought on a significant increase in energy, logistics and packaging costs, in addition to the increase in the price of coffee, linked to the appreciation of the dollar. It’s thus the “perfect stormâ€, which we as the Lavazza Group began immediately responding to with targeted actions, without ever compromising the quality of our product. Ahead of us 2023 promises to be equally complex: we will face it strengthened by our company’s solidity and determined to seize the best opportunities the future has in store, ensuring we are ready when the time for recovery comes.†Antonio Baravalle CEO, Lavazza Group
