October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Day Health Strategies
Transforming health care one organization at a time. Together.
October is #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth.
Despite advancements in treatment, recent data from the American Cancer Society highlights stark differences in breast cancer mortality across racial lines. While breast cancer incidence rates among Black and white women are similar, mortality rates among African-American women are about 40% higher.
Eliminating these differences and advancing health equity – a core part of our mission at Day Health – requires breaking cycles of systemic injustice. In our client work and beyond, we are committed to dismantling health disparities and working toward a more equitable future for all.
