October 2024: What’s New at OrderEase
We’re excited to share the latest enhancements at OrderEase - whether you’re managing shipments, organizing products, or keeping track of inventory, these updates aim to make your daily operations smoother than ever before.
Enhanced Shipments: Real-Time Quantity Tracking
Streamline Your Shipments with Active Quantity Calculation
Managing shipments can be complex, especially when it comes to accurately assigning quantities. Previously, some users found it challenging to ensure that all available units were properly allocated to cases before finalizing a shipment. To address this, we’ve added real-time updates to the ‘quantity not sent’ field. As you assign units to packages, the remaining quantities automatically adjust, giving you a clear view of what’s left to be shipped. This change ensures you won’t miss any units and helps reduce the need for manual adjustments, saving time and minimizing errors.

New Validation Alerts for Catalogs

Prevent Scheduling Errors with Real-Time Warnings
Catalog management is crucial for suppliers, and we want to ensure your timelines are accurate. To prevent accidental mistakes, like setting an end date before a start date, we’ve added a new validation pop-up. Now, if you try to schedule an end date earlier than the start date, you’ll receive an instant alert. This update helps avoid confusion and ensures your catalog dates remain accurate, protecting you from unexpected disruptions.
Inventory Tab Upgrade: See All the Details
More Visibility for Better Inventory Management
Effective inventory management is all about the details, and we’ve made sure you have the right ones at your fingertips. The updated ‘Inventory’ tab now includes fields for tracking quantities by eaches or cases, lot numbers, expiration dates, and warehouse locations. This level of detail makes it easier to keep track of stock across multiple locations and ensures your products are always up-to-date. The new view also allows for better decision-making when planning restocks or shipments, giving you a complete picture of your inventory status.
Improved Document Handling & Export Consistency
Smarter File Display for Media Attachments
We’ve made it easier to manage your document uploads. Previously, if a file format wasn’t recognized, the system would display a blank thumbnail. Now, unrecognized file types will display a notepad-like icon, ensuring that every file is clearly identified, even if it’s not a common format like a PDF or image.
Consistent Export Field Names
To ensure data consistency, we’ve standardized export field names in the Orders section. For example, ‘Buyer PO #’ is now ‘Customer PO #’, and ‘SKU’ is now ‘Product Code’. These updates align the terminology across different parts of OrderEase, making your data exports more intuitive and easier to interpret.
