Community impact: the emergence of women's agro-entrepreneurship in N'Dali
In the commune of N'Dali in northern Benin, agriculture is undergoing a major transformation, driven by local women's initiatives and the support of the ACMA3 project. Farmers in Nigeria face challenges with fertilizer accessibility due to high costs and the recent NPK fertilizer ban. In response to these difficulties, HortiNigeria has leveraged key partnerships to create sustainable solutions. One significant initiative is the collaboration between HortiNigeria, Candel Company Limited, a Nigerian-based agrochemical and fertilizer producer, and Kartlos Farms, a commercial farm located in Ibadan, Oyo State.
From water to land: creating innovative solutions for soil health and fertility in the Sahel
Earlier this year, the Soil Values program initiated participatory soil fertility and soil health diagnostic activities with small-scale agricultural producers and livestock breeders living in watershed and sub-watershed communities in identified areas of Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, and northern Nigeria.
