Winners of "Best Marketing Campaign" four years in a row
For an incredible fourth year in a row, Checkd Group have won "Best Marketing Campaign" at the EGR Operator Awards for the No Tippy Tappy Football show. This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our fantastic team, our host Natalie Pike, Sam Allardyce, and all of our guests.
Award nomination for“Best Use of Search - Gaming (Large)” at the UK Search Awards
We relaunched Organic Search as a key traffic and revenue driving channel in late 2023 with the appointment of George H M Webb as Head of SEO and James Dixon as Head of Digital PR. Since then, the team has gone from strength to strength and have scooped their first award nomination for “Best Use of Search - Gaming (Large)” at the UK Search Awards. We eagerly await the results and award show in early December.
Delivering big wins for our users
Flagship football brand, Footy Accumulators, landed a 125/1 special for followers. This incredible result highlights the expertise and insight the Checkd Media team provides to its followers across, social, web and app every single day.
Continued Organic Search performance across Checkd Media
We saw a strong end to Q1 across all brands, most notably for Footy Accumulators where we saw 41.02% growth YoY on users from Organic Search as well as a 95.65% increase in CPA revenue from the web channel.?
Dev
Driving increased CTR with new ad widget technology
Checkd Dev have been trialling new ad widget technology in partnership with a large sport media owner that has shown significant increase on CTR compared to the previous 3rd party solution. By incorporating a contextual link to the content on the page, the feature generates more relevant betting CTAs for the user. The ad widget is supported by a back end admin tool that can be configured to incorporate promotional offers, boosts and Smart Acca bets appropriate to the respective audience.

Continued development with Paddy Power
Continuing the investment Paddy Power are making in the Mix ‘n Match product, Checkd Dev are working on a new Favourites feature. This will allow users to select Favourite Markets and Odds, meaning they can get to the betting opportunities they want even faster than before. The feature is due to go-live ahead of the busy Christmas period.
Development of new features for African users
Due to the success of the Smart Acca product launched on 888 Angola and BetLion Zambia in September, Checkd Dev are working on new features due to go live in December. Among a number of upgrades users will be able to see the exact accumulator bonus amount in the Magic Multis section and be able to see how popular an accumulator is in real time with a new “Backed X times” icon on each bet.
International
Record breaking Digital PR results through Q1
The Digital PR team saw record numbers across Q1 with 674 pieces of coverage for our NFL-focused strategy. A massive 583 of these contained a link, with sites including USA Today, New York Post, and Sports Illustrated being the standout successes. The quarter finished with an amazing Halloween-inspired TV segment on Fox 10 in Phoenix, Arizona. Our strongest month of the quarter was September with 279 pieces of coverage, then August with 221, and October with 174.
Launch of SmartPicks Pro
October saw the launch of SmartPicks, a revamped betting app built by our in-house team. The app streamlines betting with features like a same-game parlay builder and instant betslip additions. This also saw our first move into revenue from subscription service models, with users needing to subscribe to SmartPicks Pro to unlock 60+ player prop markets, historical data, and powerful insights.
Boost to Organic Search performance across Checkd International
On the International side of Checkd Group we also saw a successful Q1 for web performance, with FlashPicks seeing a 269% increase in Organic Users, and a 179.40% increase CPA revenue
