- 73% of small business owners expect revenue to increase next year and 44% anticipate increasing their staff in 2025. (U.S. Chamber of Commerce )
- The Tampa MSA saw a 3.18% growth in wages in September of 2024. (Paychex )
- The share of respondents who report ‘jobs are hard to get’ rose for the 5th consecutive month. This level of job-finding difficulty is on par with survey responses in 2017 and is not a sign of deterioration. (Conference Board )
- Since January of 2020 the Tampa-St. Petersburg – Clearwater MSA has seen consumer prices increase 29.8%, the highest in the nation. Housing is the reason for this gain. Since the start of 2020 both rent and OER (owner equivalent rent) have increased 46.9% and 44.6%, more than any other metro area examined. (Pew Research )
- When asked if their current debt (including mortgage, credit card, student loan, and medical debt) was influencing their career decisions, 73% of U.S. workers said they have debt and of those four of 10—including 50% of Gen Z (ages 18–27), 54% of Millennials (ages 28–43), and 42% of Gen X (ages 44–59)—said it is influencing their career decisions.
