Menopause Awareness Month is observed in October each year, with the aim of raising awareness around menopause, its symptoms and impact on women's health and wellbeing.?
There still exists stigma and misunderstanding around menopause and how it affects women?physically, mentally, and emotionally. Nearly 80% of menopausal people are in work, yet?a study by Nuffield Health showed that 72% of women experiencing symptoms felt unsupported at work. The introduction of a menopause policy is an important step towards ensuring a safe, fair, and inclusive workplace for women and those with periods.
Our Menopause Policy guide includes guidance on navigating conversations around menopause in the workplace, arranging support for menopausal employees, retaining talent, and ensuring that everyone in the organisation is treated with dignity and can achieve their full potential.
This resource can be found in our Members Library, which contains guides and templates to help organisations instil fair employment practices and a thriving company culture. Those who are not yet part of the ESGmark? Community can preview our guides here.
If you have any questions or need further help in putting your Workplace Menopause Policy together, please do not hesitate to contact the ESGmark? team on [email protected].
