October 2023: Month of Growth

Introduction

In this article, I'll be highlighting the exciting and enriching experiences that made October a month to remember.

1. Completion of Frontend Developer Internship

My four-month internship journey as a Frontend Developer at Cloud Initiatives Inc has come to an end, filling me with great enthusiasm.

During this time, I had the opportunity to create an admin panel for instructors, craft a data-rich Next.js dashboard, and turn Figma designs into seamless code for an educational platform.

Special thanks to the incredible team for the support and guidance along the way. Looking forward to the next chapter in my career!

2. Participation in EducationUSA Fair

I recently attended the EducationUSA College Fair in Montreal, hosted in partnership with Marianopolis College, and it was a truly enlightening experience. This event provided a unique opportunity to connect with representatives from various American colleges and universities, making it an invaluable resource for both students and parents. It was the perfect place to have my questions answered and gather essential information about pursuing higher education in the United States.

One of the highlights of the event was the series of informative presentations, covering a range of crucial topics. These insights acted as a guiding compass, directing us towards the various pathways for academic growth in the U.S. educational landscape.

I extend my sincere appreciation to EducationUSA for organizing this platform, which has left me motivated and well-informed about the prospects of studying in the United States. I encourage every aspiring student to seek out similar events to shape a brighter academic future.

3. My LeetCode Journey

October has been an incredibly productive problem-solving month as I maintained a daily streak throughout the month. I started sharing my solutions to LeetCode problems, contributing to the global community of learners and problem-solvers.

I finished solving all Top 50 SQL problems using MySQL and earned a badge for this achievement. I also went the extra mile by posting my comprehensive solutions to all Top SQL 50 questions, which can be explored in LeetCode SQL 50 Problems and Solutions.

Throughout the month, I posted solutions for over 70 problems, covering a range of topics and challenges. My dedication paid off with over 20,000 views on my LeetCode solutions, demonstrating the impact and reach of the LeetCode community. This journey has significantly boosted my SQL and algorithmic knowledge, as I tackled problems using MySQL and Python.

4. Volunteering Experience in Open House 2023

As an exchange student at 加拿大肯高迪亚大学 , I had the incredible opportunity to take part in my very first volunteering experience at the largest event of the year for future students - Concordia University Open House 2023. It was a day filled with excitement, as we welcomed visitors from all walks of life and introduced them to the vast world of Concordia. From preparing bags to guiding guests and encouraging photobooth fun, it was a truly rewarding experience and marked the beginning of my journey into volunteering.

My involvement as a volunteer not only allowed me to actively contribute to the community but also served as a platform for my personal growth. It was a day where I honed my teamwork and communication skills, met wonderful individuals, and fostered a sense of community engagement.

I eagerly look forward to more enriching opportunities in the future, where I can continue participating in meaningful community engagement initiatives.
