Recently, we've seen celebrations of what artificial intelligence (AI) can do everywhere. For Translated, this is nothing new: since 1999, we have been developing AI to help professionals translate better and faster, with the goal of allowing everyone to understand and be understood in their own language. Today, we rarely see people celebrated as they should be.

In recognition of the fact that no technology advances or matters without the critical role played by people, we decided to produce a short film that celebrates the uniqueness of human beings.

Nothing can translate a human like a human – that's the human touch.

?????? Women in Localization at Translated

We welcomed Women in Localization to our Rome headquarters to discuss the many challenges that AI poses to both businesses and nonprofits. The discussion was led by Stella Hodkin (CLEAR Global / Translators without Borders), Marta Castello (Creative Words), and Emma Gamba (Imminent Research Center).

On September 10th, the crew of our sailboat Translated 9 set sail in the Ocean Globe Race - Official , one of the most adventurous and human-centered regattas in the world. ???? Discussing the Symbiosis Between Translators and MT at TAUS

Our COO Alessandro Cattelan will be presenting Translated's approach to the symbiosis between human translators and machine translation (MT) at the upcoming TAUS Annual Conference (October 4 to 6). Alessandro will join a panel discussing how client data is managed in the new MT-first-and-only scenario and how this new scenario affects workflows, quality control, and evaluation. We will also discuss the role and relevance of translators, who we believe will become increasingly relevant as MT systems evolve from competitors to collaborators, enhancing rather than replacing human expertise.
