REIMAGINING TEXTILE RECYCLING IN NEW ZEALAND

BlockTexx visits New Zealand

BlockTexx jumped across the ditch this month to New Zealand to meet our existing clients and to welcome new partners.

Many governments around the world are mobilising their industry players and local communities to address the flow of unwanted textiles and clothing ending up in landfill.

BlockTexx adds a reality to this undertaking with a commercial scale textile resource recovery solution.

PRODUCT UPDATE

Real world products

A quick product update ahead of future product announcements. Our product development and sales are focussed across 4 key industries - Agricultural, building & construction, textile and fibre and product & injection moulding.

It’s been a busy month with product development in Australia and across the world. We are delighted to be working with some of the world’s leading companies on new market products and importantly incorporating PolyTexx? and CellTexx? to replace existing fossil fuel based materials.

Plus back in our textile recovery facility, we are commissioning new equipment to ensure we deliver commercial scale quality and volumes for our customers.

GIVE A SHEET? FOR THE PLANET - FINAL BRISBANE EVENT

Give a Sheet? for the Planet

Councils and households across Australia continue to team up to Give a Sheet? for the Planet.

We’ve seen more than 34,000 sheets donated and kept a remarkable 23,000 kilograms of textiles from going into local council landfills.

For all Brisbane residents, the third and final Give a Sheet? event is being held on Saturday October 21 at the Boondall entertainment centre.

Don’t miss the chance to spring clean your linen cupboard and do your bit to protect the planet.

THINGS WE FOUND INTERESTING

We read a lot at BlockTexx, mostly with a focus on environmental and social impact stories. Of course you can get caught up in reports of dire climate predictions and the comments by climate deniers but there is plenty to be positive about around the world. Here is a small selection we wanted to share:
