October 2022 Wrap-Up
PPI's Women in Policy Alliance & Mosaic Project
Mosaic & the Women in Policy Alliance foster growth and facilitate connections among women working in Washington, D.C.
MOSAIC GOES INTERNATIONAL
Earlier this month, the PPI hosted an established group of 12 women in tech and workforce development policy, traveling to London, Brussels and Berlin to meet with political leaders, policy experts and thought-leaders across Europe.
???? In London, England, the delegation learned about the functions of British Parliament and examined the importance of the special relationship between the U.S. and U.K. In addition, our group had meetings about creating equitable economic development, transatlantic opportunities to support growth in GovTech and the regulations behind advancing financial technology in Europe.
???? In Brussels, Belgium, the delegation toured the European Parliament and discussed how the bodies of the EU government pursue relations with the United States Congress, as well as the latest policy priorities of the European Union. They also met with leaders working in tech, competition, privacy and the global digital economy to hear how the tech world is working to enhance diversity and inclusion.
???? Lastly, the delegation visited Berlin, Germany, where they attended the 2022 Progressive Governance Summit, co-hosted by the PPI and Das Progressive Zentrum . They heard about the importance of protecting democracy and ensuring a strong transatlantic relationship between the U.S. and EU to defend against adversarial powers.
Mosaic and PPI would like to thank our friends in the U.K. and EU for helping to make this trip a success. We look forward to visiting our transatlantic partners again soon!
