October 15th Deadline tomorrow (10/15) and tax relief for Hurricane Milton

As expected, the IRS has announced that they are providing tax relief to all Floridians affected by Hurricane Milton.

So, although the tax filing due date is tomorrow Tuesday, October 15th, affected Floridian taxpayers now have until May 1st, 2025, to file.

The postponed May 1st, 2025, deadline applies to anything originally due in the postponement period, which is from 10/5/24 to 5/1/25.

The relief provided by the IRS is broken down as follows:

? Individuals, C-Corps, and non-profit organizations whose 2023 tax returns were due 10/15/24 are extended to 5/1/25

? Quarterly estimated tax payments originally due on 1/15/25 are now pushed off to 5/1/25.

? Individual and business tax returns for 2024 with an original due date in March or April 2025 will be extended to May 1st, 2025.
