Oct 12 in Brazil: The Kids, The Ocean and The Blessed Virgin Mary Day.

Nothing more fascinating than the wonder of the nature and the relentless power it shows. The Sea has always been one of the most admirable element of the human respect. Present across all mythologies as an important deities, with enormous power and sometimes given even representations of figures of Serpents, dragons or Lake Monsters!

Today in Brazil, a country that developed some peculiar own dates for some holidays, we celebrate few important elements on this National Holiday: (I) Kids Day, (II) Ocean Day and as a voracious Catholic country, (III) Our Lady of Aparecida's day.

Celebrations are everywhere! As a National Holiday, all schools are closed so the Kids can have a perfect family day. As an Ocean Day, the reminder of the importance of this important ecosystem is brought up on all possible media. And most importantly, Nossa Senhora, which is considered by the Brazilian Catholics the patroness of Brazil!!

Definitely a very important Trivium of values on the same day!

• Kids National Day - represents the future! Promotes the family, the importance and awareness of the Children in our society!
• Ocean National Day - a country blessed with an extensive shore, with wonderful and paradisiac beaches and wildlife! the Sea gives us food, strengths the economy, provides tourists their scape space, the surfers their environment and to the sea-life their medium!
• Nossa Senhora Aparecida Day - Blessed Virgin Mary, the traditional form of the Immaculate Conception, a dogma of the Catholic Church, as a symbol of purity, popular devotion and faith!

I hope this day can open the minds and hearts of all Brazilians! Giving the proper weight on their view of future (Kids Day), the importance of environment to our lives and culture (Ocean Day) and more than ever, the respect to the freedom of Religion, the respect to the faith, a day for feast, a holiday of obligation (Nossa Senhora Aparecida)!

To my children, Dana and Ada, a day spent with the family, sharing our time and observations of all holiday festivities! It has been very surprising that my 8 old years old Dana has showed me the United Nations Children rights, and why a worldwide Children's day has been created!

Values are the important intersection across all 03 festivities! Values for Future, Planet and Faith!
