Content creation is one of the most highly touted capabilities of generative AI platforms, but is that where the most value comes from? Sprout Social highlights several CMOs who use GenAI for ideation, strategy, and bouncing ideas off “the world’s smartest marketing strategist.” Sprout Social also cites that 80% of marketers say AI has positively impacted their work.
Finding those efficiencies is about experimenting with AI tools to find what works best for you — it’s not going to be the same for everyone. Sprout Social’s marketing tips may be a good place to start, but the list goes on. If you enjoy writing and don’t want to automate that task, use AI to develop an outline so you have a blueprint to start with. If you’re stuck on a pitch, ask ChatGPT to pretend it’s a reporter and offer feedback on your messaging.?
Nothing can derail your AI experience quite like realizing you’ve been lied to. There’s still a level of unknown when it comes to large language models, so we can’t expect AI outputs to be perfect every time. However, there are steps you can take to minimize hallucinations so you get quality outputs.

What’s happening: OpenAI unveiled new image capabilities that allow users to upload .jpg, .png, and .gif files in ChatGPT. The new capability is available within the “Default” mode of GPT-4.??
Why it matters: Users are no longer limited to text. Instead of describing an image, you can simply upload it. The capability goes beyond just identifying elements of a photo — ChatGPT can offer feedback if you describe how you were going to use an image, help with troubleshooting an issue like a sick plant or a faulty device, and extract text from images.
Try this: While this capability may seem more like a parlor trick than a useful tool, there are certainly ways it could create efficiencies at work. Asking ChatGPT to analyze a diagram, explain a complex chart, or even explain a viral meme could be practical uses for a communications pro.?
