As we approach the end of term, we wanted to give you a heads up on the results information and support we'll be providing for teachers, exams officers and students. Preparing for results days 2023

Our?results webpages ?contain a wealth of information, including what results information and reports are available and when. You can also find out about how grades are calculated and grade boundaries.?

As a reminder, results days are as follows:

  • 17 August 2023: results day for AS and Levels, Cambridge Technicals, FSMQ, Core Maths and Extended Project
  • 24 August 2023: results day for GCSEs, Cambridge Nationals and Entry Level Certificate.

If you have a concern about a result, there are a number of options available - check out our handy ‘Post-results: which service do you need ’ information sheet.

All summer 2023 exam papers are now available for you to download from?Teach Cambridge . Examiners' reports will be available from Teach Cambridge on results days. If you're not yet set up with an account, please?send this link ?to your exams officer. Once you have access, you'll find everything you need to support you, including teaching and assessment resources, training, updates and more.


Preparing for results day with Active Results

As results days approach, we want to make sure you’re up to date on?Active Results ,?our?free results analysis service?for AS, A Level, GCSE and Cambridge Nationals (legacy only), which enables schools and colleges to review the performance of individual candidates, cohorts and whole schools.

Before results day, we recommend that you:

  • check your?Interchange ?and?Active Results ?details are still working and you're able to log in
  • familiarise yourself with the full list of results reports available alongside examples of each one on?our website .

In preparation for results day, we've made some updates to Active Results, including a new GCSE Maths report, cohort reporting and continual improvements to the service.


Explaining examining – student support

We've got lots of support for students in the lead-up to results days.?Share with your students our?'Explaining Examining' webpage ,?our?podcast episode ?which answers students' questions about grade boundaries, and Ofqual's?student guide .

Our 'Getting Your Results' webpage ?has information and guides for students on understanding results slips and post-results services.

Some levels of stress at results time are normal and manageable. If your students are feeling worried or anxious, it can help to talk to someone they trust. Our?student support page ?has some organisations which can provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - please do share with students and parents/carers. You'll also find a wealth of wellbeing and mental health support and resources on our?Mental Health Awareness webpage .

We're delighted to let you know our?professional development programme ?for 2023/24 is?now available for you to book.

Coming up next term: 'Exam review ' events. A?new, free event?that's designed to support with understanding exam outcomes and performance and preparing you for future series. We'll help you to reflect upon and review your centre’s performance in order to better inform and plan for improvements.

First year teaching with us? Just us for a?free?'Starting to teach ' event, where you'll have the opportunity to familiarise yourself with our specification and assessment. You'll also find out about the range of resources and support available.?
