Ocean Quest International Newsletter Q2 2024

Dear all,

Welcome to our 2nd Newsletter for Q2 2024!

Upcoming Quarterly Event

We are excited to announce our next Quarterly event on Friday, June 28, in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. This event will be both onsite and online, ensuring everyone can participate. So far, 30 participants have sent their feedback via email. Please register via LinkedIn and let us know if you'll be joining us in Vaduz by using the "Comment" feature.

Addressing Climate Change

Our participation in the Monte-Carlo Pelagos Initiative highlights our commitment to tackling climate change and carbon dioxide absorption. This initiative is crucial in our fight against environmental degradation.

Progress and Achievements

We are thrilled to share that we are still in the race for Eureka and eagerly awaiting our presentation slot for Ocean Quest International. Additionally, we have won an invitation to tender from the Microsoft Founders Start-Up Hub, securing up to $150,000 in software support for Ocean Quest.

Expanding Our Reach

We are expanding our presence with new subsidiaries in Switzerland by the end of this year and in the European Union by 2025. These new hubs will bolster our efforts in marine conservation and sustainable innovation.

Project Highlights

  • Qatar:?We have established new business ties and a collaboration with a local robotics company. Our hybrid drone has garnered significant interest for water sampling capabilities.
  • Tanzania:?Our first hub in Pangani now has 9 team members, and we aim to collect close to 100 tons of PET this year. A new hall for plastic is being built near the Kenya border.
  • Australia:?Our kelp pilot project is underway, focusing on cultivating small kelp plants.
  • South Africa:?We have initiated discussions with local authorities from Swakopmund to Cape Town.

Innovative Solutions for Marine Conservation

Our Green House Habitats project is gaining significant traction and interest. Here’s a closer look at the exciting developments:

  • Ocean Villages: We are raising interest in setting up Ocean Villages, which will include underwater habitats designed to support both human and marine life. These villages will be equipped with advanced technologies for sustainable living.
  • Mass Plantation of Kelp Forests and Sea Grass: To combat climate change and promote marine biodiversity, we are exploring the mass plantation of kelp forests and sea grass. These plants are crucial for absorbing carbon dioxide and providing habitats for marine life.
  • Underwater Hubs: We are developing underwater hubs that will operate either autonomously or as habitats for people. These hubs will have their own atmosphere and pressure equalization systems, making them viable for long-term habitation.
  • Human Habitats: Our small R&D unit is working on innovative solutions for human habitats, including sea water desalination apparatus, oxygen extraction systems, and micro flow power plants or micro tidal power plants. These technologies will ensure that underwater habitats are self-sustaining and environmentally friendly.

The Green House Habitats initiative is a testament to our commitment to creating sustainable and innovative solutions for marine conservation and human habitation.

Product Development Updates

  • Beach-Buggy: Our 4-wheel beach buggy is set for exhibitions by summer 2024. We are also testing new versions, including a crab bot and a legged (dog) robot. Together with two additional platforms, they form our new Terrabot family, utilizing Arduino, Linux, and Python for enhanced functionality and versatility.

  • Hybrid Drone: With a new modular set-up, we can build a variety of different modules for better scalability. A first functional model will be ready by autumn 2024. Watering tests are ongoing, with particular focus on handling big waves over 2 meters. We are currently adjusting the length, width, and floating parts to optimize performance.

  • Wing Glider 2.0: We now have a first functional model with a static dive mechanism in place. Initial tests are scheduled for 2024, and the next steps include adding different pairs of wings with electrical engines on the tips for improved speed and maneuverability.

  • Model Ship Drone: Our latest innovation targets inaccessible areas and is designed to be up to 4 meters in length, made from steel and aluminum. This model is based on the blueprints of the “Code X” yacht study and will feature the capability to pull an Ocean Tube with a 5-meter radius, ready for deployment in 2025.

These product developments underscore our dedication to pioneering new technologies that enhance our ability to protect and preserve marine environments.

IT and Organizational Growth

We are enhancing our digital presence with new domains:

Investment Opportunities

Our 2nd wave stock option program starts in Q4 2024, with shares available for purchase in Q1 2025. Stock options will be available this autumn.

We are excited about these developments and look forward to your continued support and participation.

Best Regards, Juergen R. Ocean Quest International AG Technopark Vaduz, Liechtenstein
