Ocean cheese, a green King and floating wind

Let's start with some royal news, shall we? King Charles has been making waves in the world of clean energy lately. The king recently opened a Clean Aviation Centre, and we must say, he looked quite fly in his royal crown! It seems like the King is taking his role as a clean energy advocate seriously, and we're all for it!

In other news, looks like our energy bills are about to get a lot lighter! Energy bills are set to drop by a whopping £440 in July. We don't know about you, but we're feeling pretty charged up about this!

Did you know that an innovative startup has developed a way to turn ocean microorganisms into cheese? Yes, you read that right. Cheese from the oceans! We have to admit, we're pretty curious about how it tastes.

Have you listened to this week’s Net Hero Podcast? Floating wind expert Gabriel Davies from ?rsted discusses the ways offshore wind power works and gives us a sneak peak about her upcoming session at the Big Zero Show. By the way – the Big Zero Lectures’ agenda has been released today – take a look at the amazing speakers and sessions and make sure you save your seat.

Last but not least, the government is providing funding to quash the carbon footprint of emergency services. It's great to see that more and more people are seeing the light when it comes to renewable energy.

See you all next week!

Cheers,

Geoff
