Obtaining Vision for growth

I have often taught about the principals of progress which I've established as Vision, Focus, Efforts and Results. I am often asked how does one obtain Vision? I believe Vision is understanding where you are in relationship to where you want to be. The relationship part is key in determining reality from delusion. Shakespeare once wrote "you can confine yourself to a walnut shell and dub yourself the king of infinite space" which is true, if your only point of relationship is your own mind, you may be and do whatever is in your head. Once you step outside of your mind and deal with laws of physics and relevant engagement with forces and objects beyond your imaginations, outcomes will vary and start to pronounce reality in relationship.

True Vision can be tested and will be tried as you move from Vision to Focus.?Vision can be derived from several sources, and I will deal with five that I believe encapsulate most.?The five sources of Vision are Vantage Point, Divinely Inspired, Relationship, Leadership and Trail Blazing.?I could put these in order of effectiveness, but that really depends on where you are and the relationships you have with resources, time, and the divine.?In truth Vision will eventually manifest in your life, the hope is that it reveals a beautiful life and not a nightmare.?That’s not a thing of discomfort, it will however make clear how much effort is needed to get where you want to be, and if it’s worth it.?Here’s how they work.

Divinely Inspired Vision is immediate and not a matter of the visionary convincing others, it’s real, right now.?Bezalel and Oholiab where given power and knowledge in the SPIRIT to build the temple of GOD and to do all the craftsmanship, in all types of mediums, from GOD.?There were Prophets, Kings, and folk just walking down the road, that were inspired and given Vision by GOD almighty to operate in a manner far beyond there experience or disclosed talents.?This form of Vision is the highest and clearest as it has immediate application and is a surrendered will of self to do GOD’s will.?There is no error, delusion, or failure, in this Vision, and if there is, it’s not Divinely Inspired.?When there is fault or error it is the work of delusion, illusion or confusion which are manifestations from hardened black hearts with evil intent of men.

Vantage Point is the next level of Vision, which indicates one has risen to a certain level beyond obstruction and can see the entire horizon or playing field.?This can be a matter of elevation through the ranks to see the entire company operation with understandings of goals and resources.?It can be a matter of a person climbing a hill, or mountain, or a developer atop a building looking out across the frontier deciding what’s next.?There is some unpacking necessary in this analogy, as the person brings some knowledge with them to the heightened area.?It may be through sheer grit that person climbed a mountain, but they understood that from there they could make enlightened decisions.?Whether climbing the corporate ladder or waterfall to get to the top took drive, and from there is power to see clearly and make clear choices based on resources, perceived obstacles, and time.?That’s why they started putting coaches in the booth, as Vantage Point leads to better strategy for progress, with the right personnel at the top.

Leadership is another place of Vision as we are waning towards blindness in Visionary recession.?Leadership for Vision is truly dependent on who you are following, and their intentions.?It can be powerful with a leader that is seeking to bring the entire wagon train to the fort and ensure everyone is safe.?Leadership can even be more powerful when the results create wealth and security for the leader based on successfully getting others to their destination or goal.?When the leader is not motivated or tested as competent it is easy to lose the followers, and there is mutiny or abandonment, in either way the goal is not reached.?Often time Leadership Vision requires checkpoints and landmarks that are predetermined and disclosed to ensure confidence and reliability.?When Leadership Vision is tried and true it can seem divinely inspired.

Relationship Vision is where most people operate.?They are not using navigations sources from GOD or man, they are doing what seems right based on what they have seen in the past.?It’s a hiker following the sun as he knows where it sets and rises.?It’s the employee making the calls with no idea of goals and quality of work.?It’s the delivery driver clearing the truck of packages within the allotted time.?These folk are not high enough to understand the why, and not close enough to direct, they are making it happen with what the have.?They are not blind because the are constantly processing information in relationship to their actions but have no long Vision or planning.?The issue with this short-sited Relationship Visionary profile is it does not respond well to adversity and will need further instruction to overcome, as adaptation is limited due to resources and knowledge.?The sun rises in the East and sets in the West.?In most cities odd streets run North and South and even numbers East and West. Moss will grow on the north side of a tree in the northern hemisphere, and on the southern side of a tree in the southern hemisphere, dial until the que is empty and smile while you dial (basic instructions for the lost).?These folk often end up at the end of the road with no hotel key as they where on someone else’s trip.

Trail Blazing Vision is where you decide I’m going that way and we’ll figure it out.?Though often romanticized over, it has a very low success rate, as you have no idea what you’re up against so preparation is often limited, because you can’t take everything.?There is high reward as discovery and market presence in unpenetrated markets without competition can produce windfall scenarios.?You can also die in the woods, and no one even come look for you, because who knew.?Trail Blazing is not blind as there is the ability to react on the short term and even seek Vantage Point or Relationship with environments or others that we may encounter along the way.?I once walked up a mountain and got to the top through the woods and there was an old lady at the top.?I was shocked and ask, “How did you get up here?”, and she said, “we drove up” and showed me the other side of the mountain where there was a parking lot and a road. She asked, how did you get up here, and I said, “I climbed up from the riverbed up through the forest” she said “Why didn’t you drive up?”.?Because I had no Vision.?The issue with Tral Blazing is that you never know until you get there if the trip was worth it, or if there was a better way.
