Obstacles

Managers (and business owners) often think their role is to 'manage' their teams. But what does that even mean? Cheerlead them to a better performance? Parent them to a greater sense of duty and responsibility? Threaten them to more productivity? Coddle them so they do their work?
Perhaps. And, maybe, at some point every manager may do one or more of all these things, but none of these all the time or even half the time.
Managing people means correctly identifying the obstacles on their path and moving (in our greater position and broader perspective as managers and/or business owners and leaders) to remove them so they can grow and thrive.
That's all.
